Measurement Monday

May 31, 2010

PhotobucketWell, blog world, I have been neglecting you and for that I apologize. I am currently in the middle of dead week, which on most college campuses means a week of studying and not doing much else. Unfortunately, for the University of Oregon this means there are a ton of assignments due this week, and exams next week. I did measure myself on Monday, even though I am posting this on Thursday (hooray for backdating, internet magic), and my measurements are the same as the week before. The awesome news, though, is that I went shopping for shorts and a dress and I am a solid size 16 at every store I went to. I was a size 24 six months ago, so that is quite a bit of progress. Anyway, onto the measurements! Read the rest of this entry »

Measurement Monday

May 24, 2010

PhotobucketSorry for the lack of interesting posts. My life has been a whirlwind of excitement this last week. Measurements are down and looking great, and major stresses in my life (school, relationships, etc.) are coming to a close. While it is easy to fall into a sort of depression when change happens in your life–it can also be an opportunity to start fresh. Without going into too much personal detail, I am feeling more independent than I ever have and it is really helping me stay motivated and on track. That being said, onto the measurements! Measurement Monday

May 17, 2010

PhotobucketWell blog world I have neglected you, so here is a long-overdo update. I didn’t finish recording my meals for Food Week, and did not reward myself like I had set out to do. I am going through what could be called “a departmental reorg” in my life at the moment, and things more pressing than blog updates have been getting in the way. My measurements for this week are the same as last week, so no changes, but hopefully hard work this week will keep me moving forward. Read the rest of this entry »

Food Week–Day 4

May 12, 2010

PhotobucketI sort of have a head cold that I am refusing to submit to at the moment. I spent my afternoon sleeping and eating, so while I didn’t make horrible choices, I ate a lot:

  • Two hard-boiled eggs
  • Banana & natural peanut butter
  • Lightly seasoned caesar salad with a cut up chicken strip
  • Sugar-free popsicle
  • Two sugar-free lifesavers
  • Two burger panties with cheese, bacon and lettuce
  • Peppermint tea
  • Crystal Light

My throat hurts so I have been trying to drink a lot of liquids, and will probably have either another popsicle, or more Crystal Light before bed.

Food Week–Day 3

May 11, 2010

PhotobucketI’m posting this late, not because I didn’t intend to post it, but because I wasn’t around a computer until after midnight last night, so it would’ve posted today anyway. I was not so great yesterday, however, the goal is not to change my food choices this week–but simply to post them. So, without further ado, the foods:

  • Bacon and cheesy eggs
  • Gin
  • Breakfast burrito (cheese, potato and egg)

I am starting to discover I have three weaknesses in life. Burritos, boys and booze–they all seem to get me. Anyway, I’ve been making better choices today. I’ll post later.

Measurement Monday

May 10, 2010

PhotobucketNothing lost since I last posted, but I’m not surprised for two reasons, first: I posted on Friday and backdated the entry to last Monday, so it’s really only been three days. Second, I drank alcohol several times last week, so I know my body has been retaining some agua. Anyway, seeing zero movement on the tape measure is just further motivation to workout harder, and make good choices this week. Onward to the numbers… Read the rest of this entry »

Food Week–Day 2

May 10, 2010

PhotobucketToday I woke up exhausted from all of my work activity yesterday. I didn’t have the energy to workout and spent most of my day laying on the couch doing homework. Anyway, onto the food:

  • Eggs and bacon
  • Crystal Light
  • Baked salmon
  • Romaine salad with ranch dressing

The Native American Student Union on campus had their annual Mother’s Day Pow Wow this weekend, and the salmon lunch was delicious (and free). My female BFF is a member and it was awesome to take a homework break and stuff myself with delicious fish! Anyway, speaking of homework, I have Spanish to finish and sleep to hopefully get. Measurements tomorrow, wish me luck.
