PhotobucketContinuing on the theme of running, I wanted to share a couple of helpful posts on how to get started running. I know several people that have successfully become runners by doing the Couch to 5k Program. Running intervals is generally a really great way to get yourself used to running, but the trick is to not wear yourself out to the point of burning out, or extreme soreness that kills your mobility.

I also found this post on the blog Zen Habits, and liked how it breaks down necessary equipment and techniques.

I hope to register for a half-marathon before the summer is over. I find the only way I can successfully train myself to run longer distances, is to set a firm goal date and center my runs around frozen yogurt or fruit smoothie rewards.
